I know that's a month away but how is the snowpack looking this year compared to previous seasons. Looking good into May and beyond or just barely gonna make it through April?

Made my first trip up there last April but it was shortly after some big rains and the main bowl was heavily runnelled so it was Hillmans instead. I'd like to get the some runs in the main bowl this year.

Coming from way down South so it takes at least a little bit of loose planning to make the trip, like planning any/every weekend in April and then making the final call on TU/WE and heading North.

A large slab let loose recently; last week I think.

I recommend keeping an eye on the MWO (Mount.W Obs) website and read their AVI forecasts every day a few weeks prior to your trip to know what has happened and how stable the snow pack is.

It's filled in nicely, and I would guess turns could be had in June if your crazy enough.

Talk to the rangers of course when you visit and heed their advice

i was up there june 22nd skiing left gully, had to do a lil bit of bush wacking to get to it but there was still a couple hundered feet of vert to ski.

the snow will be there it's just how bad you wana ski it.

I was being conservative, and your July turns are beyond crazy, they are insane!

This is the info I was looking for. I saw the pics of the slab slide already. I think we will shoot for the first weekend in April, and every weekend thereafter until we get a good avvy report and weather forecast that makes it look like a go for us.
