SNOW COMING OUT OF THE PLAINS DWINDLES COMING EAST. THE STORMS RETURN NEXT WEEK...

The snow developing on the Plains Friday will streak eastward as advertised much of this week. As I have said several times, this is the type of situation where the snow moves eastward and weakens as it does so. So while we have 6 inches of snow across parts of Nebraska into Iowa, the amounts come down rather quickly across the Ohio Valley, and eventually all that is left are flurries coming through Pa. and Md.

Next week looks rather interesting as the Euro model has been advertising the a major East Coast storm, while the GFS has been weaker and more transient with the storm. I do like the fact the Euro remains consistent with the storm, while the GFS is going through the normal waffling. I am not going to say what could happen if the Euro is right, but I will say that if it is right, someone may get a heck of a lot of snow.
