What kind of snow/sleet/rain combo will we be getting tomorrow, if at all. At Mt Washington and the lower regions of NH and beyond.
I don't see any clear conclusions in the weather reports, looks like a crapshoot.
Thoughts?

one things for sure, if we do get a mix of crap tomorrow, the surfaces should improve dramatically and with wednesdays forecasted warm temps, the skiing could truly be deluxe. thursday-washout maybe. wednesday is gonna be fun somewhere as long as it's warm enough and the rain keeps at bay. thinkin of somethin up high wednesday.

Locally in So NH anything will be an improvement. I did some crust touring today on skis after work hoping it would have softened a little in the pm sun. eeek. I ended up just chattering down the snowmobile trail.

Starting tonight, the outer fringes of this weak great lakes low will spin some warm air aloft our way:

By the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the energy all starts to shift to this southern stream system:

The systems merge late on Wednesday, and shift towards the great lakes, with us still in the warm sector and above freezing at 850mb:

Thursday morning & midday is where it really hits the fan, as the low passes us to the north :( and an occluded front swings through:

To wrap it all up, we get a chance of upslope snow showers on the back side of the system, with NW-ish flow until at least friday morning:

Not a pretty picture, it means fresh slab on bomber crust for the weekend, but any snow should come in on the backside of the system, meaning most of the winds that carry snow should be out of the W thru N quadrant.

so far, based on what I am seeing the storm is staying far south for tonight at least...which is probably the best option.

my gut is gettin all warm and fuzzy for warm temps and softening surfaces tomorrow. east side of whites should stay somewhat friendly with maybe some peaks of sun for a good part of the day. we shall see.

Good info. Better than the weather man. Not a pretty picture looking at the big picture, but locally softening will be nice.
