I can make it in 2hrs from Merrimack, NH.
But the last couple years we stay at the InLaws in Laconia, and that's 1hr.

I'll chime in for 3:15 from Boston. Got to be careful through those small towns in NH. I got nabbed in one of them this year (for like 80 in a 40 zone). Officer was beyond cool, though, and let me go with a verbal warning. I like to think he took pitty on us when he noticed the duct tape holding the side-view mirror on, and figured that there's no way we could afford the ticket!

8-10, depending on whether we get cememted in in NYC or other major cities. We are over 500 miles away.

I don't really drive at get-pulled-over speeds

What route do you take? I don't really drive at get-pulled-over speeds Rte. 1 to 95 to 16. I usually don't put the hammer down, either -- that was pretty quick for me.
Another possibility (which we sometimes do on the way home if there's traffic) is to use Rte. 25 to cut over to 3 south and then 93. Avoids the tolls. If we're hankerin' for a brew and some NTN trivia after a fine day of snow sliding, we use the Kanc to Woodstock Station....

If a :hummer: is parked at Pinkham :pinkham: , I would have to assume they are there to hike up to Tucks or the summit or to ski Tucks.
Then again they might have stopped in hoping to buy a Tucks T-Shirt or one of those This car has climbed Mount Washington stickers. Or maybe a Quackenbush or Schlitz video... never know.
