Jeez -- that guy just cashed in like 8 of his 9 lives.
Yet one more reason to ski off-piste....
Per article: The docs were calling him "Superman." I think they should be calling him "Roy," as in Couraroy.

When startling operators of large machinery, do so from a very safe distance

Yikes is right. Those cats really truck, and if they can turn ice into pseudo-snow, I can only imagine what they do to your belly.

We road down Mt Tremblant in a :snowcat: and groomed McCulloch top to bottm several years ago when there was a freak storm at the summit and us and other 'diners' couldn't get off the summit that night. (quad chair at the time was whipping about almost 180deg!).
I was up there with :chair: Kate on our first big 'ski date'. We were all dressed up and such (not quite :wedding: garb... but close).
Poor :chair: Kate end up sitting on the motor well all the way down. Great introduction to a ski resort with something over 100ft vert!
More fun riding in a :snowcat: than getting squished by one.
If all else fails.. bring :ducttape:
PS. Lots of new fresh :snowflakes: :snowflakes: here in Eastern Ontario!

Poor :chair: . No wonder her interest in :happyhiker: seems greater than that for :skifemcool: .
We have a few :snowflakes: falling - not enough to build up. But, maybe more tomorrow night. :happydog:
We had a little snow today. Suzy got to ski yesterday in the 2 inch champagne pow.
Right now the temps are dropping like a rock. Something like -20 windchill already. Crap - I love winter, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't snow when it's that cold.
In other news - I thought I lost a skiing glove at the pats game, and it turned up in the car of the guy who drove. WHoo hoo! I am always paranoid about wearing ANY of my ski stuff for anything but skiing... I've been burned too many times loosing things. But it worked out this time. Sweet. My current ski jacket is a ski jacket only (and -1 degree foot ball games).

M@ thats's not entirely true. The tempature at ground level is relatively unimportant, except that it suggests colder air above. Air tempatures much below -10 will not see much snow, but it depends much more on the temperature of the air the clouds were formed from as this will change the moisture content. Colder air means less moisture which means less ice crystals in the cloud. Sadly, these ice crystals aren't going to bond at colder temperatures to make snow flakes, instead they reemain ice needles, much like we saw at Sunapee M@. However, even in extreme cold situations the moisture will still freeze and fall, just not as those beautiful snowflakes that are needed for the champagne pow pow.

It was -30 on the mountain today. Somewhere around -50 - -60 windchill. We were closed today. I spent the day in the garage painting and skirt rails for the terrain park.

we picked up almost 10" in downtwon toronto. It was great for the drive to VT yesturday morning. Had two semis and about 4 cars do some waltzing in front of me...carnage everywhere. Made it through unscathed. Another 15 min down the highway and the roads were clear and dry. Snow squalls are kinda cool.
