Well here it is November and still there is nothing in the East that is open. AAAARRGGGHH!! Enough with this 50 degree weather, come on - let's get going already.
If I have to rake leaves one more time I'm going to scream. I want snow and I want it now dammit!!!

No worry Surfy, there is snow in the east, just a bit north of you. We are FINALLY getting a taste of snow here in Ontario. The snow is just a pouring down on us, and the city is warming up the snowplows as I type....

I looked up at Mansfield yesterday (couldn't see it through the clouds this morning). No snow up there anymore. How depressing.

Good News finally in the forecast. Starting friday night thru sunday night, highs in the low 30s, lows in the teens for Killington... That is at least 48 hours of snowmaking temps. Granted it will go into the mid40s for a couple days after that, but that really isnt that much of a warm up. Unfortunately it sets them up for a midweek opening and not a weekender, though they may try to open for sunday with only 30 hours of blowing...
I am predicting a sunday opening top to bottom with Rime and Great Northern... If they dont do this something is SERIOUSLY wrong with their operation...

I agree, the forecast lows for killington look very promising for a weekend opening. here they are starting at this thursday: 27, 24, 15, 17, 27. Since this shot of cold air is coming this weekend and in to early next week, killington may have some competition.
Okemo is planning for a november 8th opening, which is this saturday! although i have a hard time believing that it will be colder there than at killington. anyways, i'm heading up to one of the two next tuesday, which is just after the coldest air has hit the region.

It seems to me that the last time we had a late start we had a spectacular March and a late finish, so take heart all ye sliders of wintry yore

RIGHT NOW, it is snowing in Montreal. No accumulations tho.
I was looking at the forecast too yesterday, when I was the temperature for the week-end I had a bg smile on my face.
