Skidude found a blurb on TR in this months Skiing. They note the recent increase in TR ("America's deadliest peak") skiers and hikers. They recap the avalanche danger associated with mountaineering and urge skiers and climbers to use transceivers and shovels, even when A. risk isn't high.
Love to see TR get visibility...

It doesn't look like the type of article that will attract too many new people - at least not those who are timid.

I was wondering if it might not be posible to have a "www.timefortuckerman.com" sign at the Pinkham Notch Visitors Center, and whether Dave would be interested in that. Something like "www.timefortuckerman.com, for the most thorough and up-to-date information about hiking and skiing Tuckerman's Ravine." Something that would highlite the informational aspects of the site.
What do you think?

When I'm out west - my and my skiing partners always have them on... And have shovels/probes as well...

True BladeGirl... would be nice for some promotions. Actually none of the other Tuckerman websites link over to T4T come to thing of it... must be naked guy... oh well. Notice Naked Guy 2003 is no longer part of the main T4T Board Logo? You have to be a T4T Club member to see him! LOL... hey... its Saturday!

Dave, I have noticed and mourned the passage of nakedguy from the logo. even more than :disinfo: he has been a part of the site for me. Did :skistooge: complain that he was getting too heavy (as nakedguy appeared to be sitting on his shoulder)? And *sigh* yes, its saturday, and I am at work. but not for much longer.

Assuming their goals include improving safety and increasing public awareness of TR, you should be sure they know how widely used the T4T MB is.
Some businesses don't link with freestanding MBs because they can't control the content of the board - they prefer to have their promotions staff control it. But, you never know... It could be a win-win situation.
