Hermit Lake Shelters on Sunday night?

I have skied Tucks before, but this year will be my first time camping at the Hermit Lake Shelters. I am driving up from Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 7 and was wondering if there will be spaces in the shelters available. If not, we will stay at a local hotel (any suggestions?) and hike up Monday morning and stay at Hermit Lake through Wednesday. Any information on whether the shelters are usually full on Sunday night would be helpful. Thanks!

Hermit Lake shelters are up for grabs on a first come first serve basis... arrive at Pinkham as early as possible to get one. You cannot pre-reserve them.
