By the way, since we won't be able to see video of this till Dec20, due to the infinite wisedom of the Beer marketing cabal. (un I mean commercial sports TV). You can follow live on line. The fis-ski web site has a cool little java app that follows the race. If you're near a PC today, you can catch the mens slalom.

I just checked in on the race, they're halfway through the first run and it looks like Bode must have missed a gate, he is 12 sec back....

Speaking of Bode... anyone else see him in Warren Miller's film this year? The guy is sick... he takes a 20-30 foot cliff and then cartwheels like a rag doll down the hill. Not that he has anything riding on those legs of his or anything.

Yes speeking of Bodie, he was a riot in Warren Miller this year. I loved the interview part, he could care less as to what the question was - he was totally focused on catching that fly. I laughed out loud!! It was great! He is so darn low key, typical ski bum personality, with some serious horse power under the hood. I'd love to see him rip up the ravine, in the spring! That would be way cool. Happy Thanksgiving all, Bill

Not to get off topic too much, but yeah, this year's film was great. I'm not a big fan of all the rail slide/terrain park stuff, but I have to give those kids credit. They are pulling of some pretty crazy tricks. Each year it seems like it takes something more to get into Warren Miller's films. It used to be a good 30 foot cliff shot was a guarantee... now you have to take the 30 foot cliff and do some inverted twisting aerial mid flight and stick the landing (or wipe hard).

I really enjoyed the part with Bode. He is such a likeable, down to earth guy and you get the sense that he'd just be a blast to spend a day skiing with.
