Sweet! Looks like it's gonna hit my home base in the Dacks!

I only regret I'll be one extra mountain range father away from the Whites this year.

He was in Greens (based at Kmart) last couple seasons. They keep them east of your daks.;) He's real close to you this year - you should hook him up. Only problem with yuckster is his stride is equal to like three of yours or mine.

Mach schnell mit de schnee. ya ya.

Thanks for the kind words -- I think. ;) The Lisa & I are based at Whiteface for the season but we'll definitely be doing a few weekends at Tucks.

Missing a chance to slide w/ Affix in the resort or BC would be silly...

oh, one of them. my touring partner in utah is one of those long striders. i'm long legged, but have a super short stride, i'm not too flexible. i've become accustomed to quickerand more strides to keep up, not that i'm ever in a rush. my mo is to always start earlier than the average joe, take my time, get the goods and get outta there. i do envy the long striders at times though.

The dynafit natural pivot helps, as does making a deliberate effort to lengthen one's stride (lunge) and push off the calf muscle. That said, I'm reasonably efficient but not the fastest guy in the world.

We had big fluffy wet snow flakes this morning here in Lake Placid! Great to see finally. Alas it didn't accumulate... but winter is certainly getting closer!

I highly doubt that report of 2 feet of snow is correct (maybe some accumulate at elevation however). I might have to clean my glasses off...

Thanks, I generally head up from the Bronx or Norwalk (CT) though. Keep in touch if you ski up there this season. I might not have time for much skiing until December - we'll see.

Still snowing here in Lake Placid since yesterday. Lot of wind blow snow. Unfortunately we didn't bring
skis. Snowshoes will have to do later for a fun jaunt in the snow later today!
