Other than timefortuckerman.com, does anybody know where you can get some Tuckerman video clips? Any info is highly appreciated.

I've seen the odd clip here and there posted on some personal sites. Kind of bandwidth intensive so rarely do they stick around. If you have broadband and 7 hours to spare try
20 min Video (http://etdev.middlebury.edu/adamfranco/) on the middlebury.edu server or M@'s videos found here (http://www.weirdtable.org/~m/tuckerman/1999/nav.htm) .

For something commerical, pick up 'Dr Quackenbush Skis the Headwall' or 'Schlitz on Mountain Washington' available at the Pinkham Notch Visitors Centre or from skimuseum.org. Both these videos are most enjoyable with a friend or two and a few pints of beer... enjoy.

How about volunteering to be in some more T4T footage Easter weekend?

Cheers

One of Warren Miller's films had a segment on Tuckermans :) ...but I can't tell you which movie. ...sorry for that tidbit of really useless info.

I may be wrong, but it is possible that the Warren Miller movie was Double Exposure (1994) which included footage of his trip to Tucks May 8/93.

Maybe someone else can verify this little bit of trivia...

My movies are mostly not working. The ones on this page work I think, but they're not exciting unless you know the folks in them:
2002 Tuckerman page (http://www.weirdtable.org/~m/tuckerman/2002/Default.htm)

I've got ton of similar video from 99, but it's on 2 CD's and is one big long AVI file. I plan on getting more into video editing someday, and will probably parse it all then, but right now it's kinda difficult to use.

I have my first trip to Tucks (early May 1988) on 8mm which I want to convert... have to have someone fix the tape though which got a tad mangled in the camera.. gad.

It was a great 1st time trek... and includes footage up and over Hillmans in the clouds, us hiking up blind and inexperienced. As soon as we arrived at the top, the clouds parted to reveal an amazing view down towards Hillmans, Dodges Drop and Over to the Headwall.

Hey loved the flute mpg M@ and of course Jill's wipeout!

My Feb., 1968 wipeout off the right end of the Icefall was filmed, quite by chance, on 8mm film. Didn't think to get the guy's name though.

Stuck the landing okay, but thinking about making a turn was just too much to ask...colossal windmilling fall resulted, in fresh snow...gear flying every whichway, mittens, goggles, glasses, hat, stuff in pockets, skis, poles, broke both Arlberg straps...major Yard Sale...if anybody has that film I'd have to see about getting a copy.

A piece that I've seen from Warren Miller at Tucks was this guy hucking either out of left gully or the headwall in a red suit. The guy does this HUGE spread eagle and then just buries it. HE lands on his tails and then sling shots forward right onto his head. OUCH!! I think that the movie is 'Extreme Skiing-1992'.
