Just flipping channels came across one of those funny home videos shows.. and saw what I thought was a skier on the Ice Fall.. So I'm watching and it is... The guy filming makes some kind on comment about how he hopes his friend has a good fall because of all the tape he's wasted wating so far.
the skier starts to make a turn and then just plummets over the ice fall and then rag dolls straight down the bowl...

After the video is over - Picabo Street is on some kind of panel rating the videos... She said the guy was destine to crash and started out defensive...
I thought that was an interesting comment on how to start....

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

It is from the Dune series of novels by Frank Herbert. It is the Bene Gesserit's (a powerful female only institution) Litany against fear.

If you like Sci-Fi, Dune is a must read...

If you like Sci-Fi, Dune is a must read... I am a sci-fi/fantasy freak. I love those types of books. Arthur C. Clarke has to be my favorite sci-fi author. As for fantasy, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series is probably the best....
